Elise Arnoult Miller brings twenty years of experience in the art world to her advisory. She earned her BA from the University of Houston, and studied art history at the Sorbonne in Paris. She earned a Certificate in Appraisal Studies from NYU, and is an Accredited Member of The Appraisers Association of America. After gaining a breadth of experience in auction house, museum and gallery environments, she launched her own consultancy in 2010. She is also an independent curator, as well as an advisor to artists and galleries.
Specializing in American and European Modern and Contemporary works, Elise is energized by her love of art and by the satisfaction derived from locating exceptional works of art for her clients. Her training as an appraiser makes her acutely aware of condition, provenance, and market values when selecting works for a collection.
Elise is a member of the Museum Collectors Advisory Committee at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She serves on the Executive Board of PrintMatters Houston, and is a member of the Menil Society.
